Laser

Low-level Laser therapy or Phototherapy uses the energy of light, instead of heat, to affect superficial underlying tissues.

Laser (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) is used in rehabilitation to help accelerate healing at the cellular level allowing increased tissue repair and cell growth of structures such as skin, tendons, ligaments and muscles.

Blue light phototherapy is antibacterial as bacteria are unable to live and proliferate under the frequency of blue light. It thereby reduces the chance of infection and breakdown of sutures.

Red light phototherapy, amongst others, stimulates epithelial cell growth, increases collagen synthesis and vasodilation.

It can treat wounds, reduce scar tissue and repair tissues and combat inflammation. When applied over the bodies acupuncture points, endorphins will be released therefore aiding in pain relief and relaxation.
